Child's Voice physically follows graduates of the School Program for two years then on paper for life. Our Mainstream Coordinator works closely with our graduates’ families, school staff and hearing itinerants to ensure a successful to the mainstream. Staff and peer in-services are available to educate school staff or a child's peers about hearing loss, hearing devices, and communicating with a student who has a hearing loss.
Students are observed in the classroom two times a year, once in the fall and again in the spring. After the observation, a report is sent to the family, school staff and hearing itinerant, detailing specific recommendations to help the student succeed in the mainstream.
Mainstream Support Services are also available for students who did not attend Child's Voice. Observations and in-services are available. Please contact Child's Voice's Mainstream Coordinator for more information.
