Speech Therapy

Speech therapy is integrated within the school program; therefore children are seen by a speech-language pathologist in an as needed basis. The children receive group speech and auditory training in their classroom for 30 minutes a day by an orally trained teacher of the deaf. If they receive additional speech services through one of our speech pathologists, they can receive services for up to 30 minutes a week or more depending on need. During pull-out sessions students work on specific speech skills, language development and/or oral motor goals from their Individualized Educational Plans.
